South Florida Autism Charter School has received a life-saving donation. Thanks to a partnership with the city of Hialeah, Mayor Esteban Bovo Jr, Vivian Casals-Munoz, the Hialeah Police Department and the Hialeah Fire Department, our school has received 300 scent kits. The scent kits are designed to preserve the scent of individuals for up to 5 years and allow first responders to use them as a tool for search and rescue initiatives.  City officials said chose our charter school for this partnership to help the most vulnerable populations. Inside the kit, there is a DNA swab, gloves, and directions on how to use/ store it.
